Section Types

Hero Section 

  1. Using the Section Type dropdown menu, select Hero Section and click Add New Section

Section Fields and Settings:

Hero Background Image

  1. Select the hero image by clicking Choose File and selecting the background image from your computer

  2. Click Upload

  3. Add the appropriate Alternate Text.

Hero Logo (optional)

  1. Select the logo by clicking Choose File and selecting the logo image from your computer  

  2. Click Upload

Hero Subtitle Text (optional)

  • This field will add a line of subtext following the Page Title.

 Hero Button Text 

  • This field will indicate the text to display within your Hero Button.

Hero Button Link Id

  • This setting will indicate an anchor link for the button

Callout Box Section 

1. Using the Section Type dropdown menu, select Callout Boxes Section and click Add New Section 

Section Fields and Settings: 

Alignment

  • Use this dropdown to indicate the alignment for your Section Title and Section Introduction
  • Default: Center Alignment 

Section Title (Optional)

  • Add text to title your section

Section Introduction (Optional)

  • Add a brief text intro/description for your section

Click Add new Callout Box

  • Select an Icon (optional)
  • Add a Callout Title
  • Add a Callout Description 

Click Add another Callout Box

  • Repeat steps to add an Icon, Callout Title and Callout Description 

Section Closing (Optional)

  • Add a brief line of text at the end of this section

Listed Item Section 

  1. Using the Section Type dropdown menu, select Listed Items Section and click Add New Section 

Section Fields and Settings: 

Alignment

  • This setting can be used to indicate the alignment for your Section Title and Section Introduction

Section Title (Optional)

  • Add text to title your section

Section Introduction (Optional)

  • Add a brief text intro/description for your section

Display Option

  • This setting allows you to select from Two-Column or Three-Column list type

Add a new List Item: 

  1. Click Add a new List Item
  2. Select an Icon
  3. Add content/description for your listed item  

Add a another List Item: 

  1. Click Add another List Item
  2. Repeat steps to add an Icon, content and item description 

Remove a List Item:

  1. Click Remove 
  2. Click Confirm Deletion to permantently delete this content

Text Block Section

  1. Using the Section Type dropdown menu, select Text Block Section and click Add New Section 

Section Fields and Settings:

Alignment

  • This setting can be used to indicate the alignment for your Section Title and Text Block

Section Title (Optional)

  • Add text to title your section

Text Block 

  • Add content to the text block. The section functions the same as the "Body" section of the Drupal sites. 

Tab Section 

  1. Using the Section Type dropdown menu, select Tab Section and click Add New Section

Alignment

  • This setting can be used to indicate the alignment for your Section Title and Section Introduction

Section Title (Optional)

  • Add text to title your section

Section Introduction (Optional)

  • Add a brief text intro/description for your section

Add a new Tab: 

  1. Click Add a new Tab
  2. Enter Tab Title 
  3. Enter a Tab Subtitle (Optional)
  4. Enter Tab Text 

Apply a layout template to your tab: 

  • Tabs can be formatted a variety of ways, including plain text paragraphs, 2-3 column paragraphs or 2-3 column lists of bulleted items.  
  1. Click the Template Icon 
  2. Select the preferred layout from the list of templates 
  3. Edit the lorem ipsem text layout with your content 
  • Note: Copying and pasting does not work well within these templates. Please type your content directly into the templates. 

Add a another Tab: 

  1. Click Add another tab
  2. Repeat steps to add Tab Title, Tab Subtitle, and Tab Text. 

Remove a tab:

  1. Click Remove 
  2. Click Confirm Deletion to permantently delete this content

Social Banner Section 

Section Fields and Settings: 

Alignment

  • Use this dropdown to indicate the alignment for your Section Title and Section Introduction
  • Default: Center Alignment 

Banner Background Image

  1. Select the hero image by clicking Choose File and selecting the background image from your computer
  2. Click Upload
  3. Add the appropriate Alternate Text

Section Title (Optional)

  • Add text to title your section

Section Introduction (Optional)

  • Add a brief text intro/description for your section

Click Add new Social Network* 

  • Select a Social Network Icon 
  • Add a direct link to social network page/account
  • Add a text description/call to action for that social network (i.e. For Facebook use, "Be our Friend") 

*If the Social Network platform you'd like to add isn't currently available in the dropdown list, contact [email protected]

Remove a Social Network:

  1. Click Remove 
  2. Click Confirm Deletion to permantently delete this content

Arrival URL Structure

  • The web team has established a set URL structure for each individual campus and their campus arrival sessions 
    • Each campus now has a Campus Router page which is your base campus url (i.e. arrival.psu.edu/abington). This is page where you control your active arrival sessions.  
    • Each arrival session now has it's own page with a set session URL (i.e. arrival.psu.edu/fall/abington)
    • If only one session is enabled, the Campus Router page will automatically redirect to the active session page 
    • If more than one session is enabled, the Campus Router page will display buttons with the session names that link to the individual session pages 

Setting your active sessions

  1. Click Edit on the Campus Router page (this will be the page with base campus url (i.e. /abington) 
  2. Click Sessions in the left-nav menu  
  3. Select the name of the session you'd like to enable 
  4. Use the arrow to arrange the order the sessions will display on the page 

    *Note: If only one session is selected, the campus page will automatically redirect to the content for that session
